new technology...for tees?

I just saw this advertised on The Golf Channel:  the "brush tee."  I've never tried it, but it sounds like a good idea.  The theory is that soft bristles will impede the club less than a wooden tee.  But, when the club head is traveling at speeds over 100 mph, I'm not sure this will make a difference.  If you hit the ball correctly, the club face will make contact with the ball first (and not the tee).  By the time the club head hits the tee, the ball should be gone.  Anyone try this yet?

UPDATE:  Here's one favorable review from a Golf Blogger.  Anyone else?

There was a test article a while back when these tees were coming out in which they tested to see if it made any difference in distance. It did not. They said with a speed of over 100 mph, even if you had to swing through a peice of wood the diameter of a tee before hitting the ball, the difference in distance would be negligible. If you feel more comfortable hitting it off the brush tee, that's all that matters. But one of my foursome brought out a brush tee a few weeks ago, and the abuse he took from the three of us was far worse than any advantage he may have gotten from the product.
