euros: traveling in style
Richard Branson of Virgin Atlantic flew the European Ryder Cup team in on an Airbus 340 -- here's a pic of the massive plane. Apparently, it's very plush inside. Padraig Harrington said people were getting foot massages and manicures. Gotta love that.

While this has nothing to do with your comment, i thought it interesting that the Texas tournament this week might get part of the hurricane coming through. That being the case, it would make it the 5th straight PGA tournament that was delayed by inclement weather. If Ivan (the hurricane) hits East of Texas, the weather probably will be minimal (the West side of a hurricane is tamer), but if the eye gets to Louisiana, it is likely that we'll have another course with drenched fairways. And in addition to that...the winds should be high, and low shots into the greens will be necessary, and despite possibly wet fairways, low shots off the tee will be critical. Look for Justin Leonard to get an easy win if this is the case.
