Jack Wins Career Record $340,000
Surprise, Surprise, Jack Nicklaus won the Senior Skins Game yesterday winning 11 skins and a career best $340,000. Not bad for a guy who is 65 years old and has not played competitive golf since June 2004.
Honestly, it is hard to fathom that the greatest golfer to ever play the game at the age of 65 makes more money in a made for TV event than he did throughout his entire career. I guess that is what money and TV does for sport.
I just hope that he'll be back to play in another Masters and Open Championship (that'd be the British Open for those novice golf fans).

Jack Nicklaus is scheduled to play in the Open this summer at St. Andrews. He has said that this Open will be his last. So I think it is fitting that the greatest golfer ever will likely conclude his major championship career at the home of golf and at the greatest major championship of them all (sorry to all of you who think that the Masters or US Open are the greatest, but the Open Championship is really the greatest of the major championships).
Even more surprising than Nicklaus earning more money in a Silly Season event than his wins in the past (last major in 86') is Couples making almost in much in silly season earnings as he made in his impressive regular season career ($16.6 million on tour, well over $10 million in silly season events).
