The buzz is in the air. Tiger Woods won in 2000 at St. Andrews by 8 strokes, and many are predicting a repeat of his St. Andrews win this year. Excellent articles today by The New York Times Damon Hack, and Tim Rosaforte of Golf World.

Money lines:

1. From Hack: “Like Augusta National Golf Club and Pebble Beach Golf Links – two courses where Woods has taken a hammer to history – the lines and curves of the Old Course fit his eye from tee to green, making him a heavy favorite to reprise his victory from five years ago.”

2. From Rosaforte: “Butch Harmon has the same feeling a lot of people have about Woods winning the British Open at St. Andrews. It’s not a lock, but Tiger is the odds-on favorite. * * * The power added to his tee ball since 2000. ‘He’ll just aim left and hit the hell out of it,’ Harmon said.”

Wait a second, is Butch back on the Tiger bandwagon?
