PGA prediction: first in the clubhouse at -5 wins
After an exciting Saturday, the PGA Championship leaderboard is filled with an interesting mix of players and stories. I think all 23 players at even par or better (that includes Tiger) have a realistic shot on Sunday. The pressure and the conditions should make par a challenge for the final groups, and nobody at the very top of the leaderboard has proven himself a closer.
Thus, I am predicting that -5 could be good enough to win, which means a 65 may be all that Tiger needs. And since Tiger, and really anyone striking the ball well on Sunday, has a chance to finish birdie-eagle on the two closing par fives, any player who steps to the 17th tee in red numbers can be in the mix. Should be a fun Sunday.

Well, since predictions are always worth nothing, but fun to throw out there, here's mine.
Phil and Kelly came close to doing what I expected. Phil's 30 foot putts stopped dropping...he's lucky to have only shot 2-over.
So...I think Phil is out of it, Bjorn just needs a bunker to get in his way, and Perez is a head case. Curtis, Bohn, and Owen...courageous efforts, but this isn't a year for a no-name to take the title.
Who's left?
Singh...I disagree he'll only shoot 1-under, making 5 under the score to strive for. He was a sconsistant as ever. Oh, if he could just start getting the speed right on these greens for once. "You've only had 6 days to practice, come on, man!!!" If he doesn't win this tournament, his butler's gonna have a three-iron in his skull the next morning.
Appleby. Very impressive. Not a double bogey the whole tournament. I would not be surprised if he pulls it out.
Goosen...I thought he would be worn out from last week, but I was wrong. He is consistant. Again, no double bogeys, and if he can get throught the front 7 with an even or under par round, look out.
Westwood...had his worst round today, and history isn't on his side. Sorry, buddy.
Everyone else, forget about it. Tiger...you look great, and had some tough breaks, but there is no chance on earth he has any chance to win this tournament and make the greatest comeback in major history that I can ever remember. Period.
My easy pick...Vijay
My hope pick...Westwood
My gambling pick (who I'd put money on)...Appleby
Nothing for Davis Love? My quick prediction is that Tiger will come out ahead of Phil and Davis Love to win. In the press conference today after the round he was outstanding mentally and totally prepared to win this tournament. Low blow on the bunker and Bjorn, but funny. I think the totally unpredictable one in this tournament is Bjorn.
And Goosen...could anyone be more boring to watch?
I think Tiger or Singh will win it.
But why this constant nagging that Goosen is boring to watch, I totally disagree with that.
Well,we'vg got a weather delay now...
What's the latest Phil and Davis could tee off and still make it in by dark? 4:15?
I tend to think they'd rather call off the rest of the day than have the leaders have to finish only 4-6 holes on Monday - does that make sense?
My heart's with Phil, my head is with Vijay.

ok, check that - 3:20 resumption.
As usual, my predictions were worth nothing.
