Who would have thought... Duval is leading Woods

In what seems to be a strange sort of events, David Duval is currently -1 for the day and +6 for the tournament after his second birdie of the day on the 15th hole (his 6th).

On the other side of the coin, Tiger Woods birdied the first hole, but bogied the next 3 and is currently +2 for the day (thru 4) and is currently +7 for the tournament.

So that's right... the man behind the shades is in front of the great phenom that is...

Come on David!!!

Also, Ben Curtis is still hanging around the leaderboard. After bogeying his first hole of the day (10th), which was his first of the tournament, he birdied the 13th and currently is tied for 5th. Curtis is the lowest player in the morning wave, which shows something about how different tee-times can make a difference.

Finally, the current projected cut is at +4, so Tiger will need to turn it on if he expects to make a cut.

Phil is looking like the man to beat, but I have a strong feeling the Pinehurst will resurface for tomorrow. The final pair of Kelly and Phil will drift back (well, not quite into the sunset)with over par rounds. Prediction for tomorrow's scores: Phil +1, Kelly +3
Why:
Phil: made about 8 putts that looked to be 30 feet or more the last two days, and a mess of 15 footers. Several looked to be at least a few feet by had the cup not been in the way. Look for the putter to have used up the juice, and a mediocre round, at best.
Kelly looked fantastic out of the fairway, and even chipped in from the sand, but as you can tell by his walk, he has some health issues, and I am predicting his energy level to run out at about his 43rd hole of the tournament. Remember, it is suppossed to be warmer tomorrow than today. Better wear two bras, Phil.
