Michelle Wie: "It was all guesswork."
After being put through the humiliating experience by LPGA Rules Officials of having to "recreate" on Sunday after the tournament was over her ball drop on the 7th from Saturday, Michelle Wie put it best: "It was all guesswork" to recreate her play from Saturday on Sunday. She stands by her drop. (Video on espn.)

Well, I'm leaving the Wie issue alone. As predicted, Annika blew the field away, despite a double bogey to finish.
I played Harding Saturday. Wind blew harder than any day of the AMEX (in fact, it never really blew in the AMEX). The course was still in tournament mode...hard fairways and hard greens. 300 yard drives really didn't take much effort, as long as you could keep it in the skinny fairways. #16 was straight into the wind...the pros wouldn't have had a chance reaching it. All the stands were still up...fun having a few tourists watching you drive on a hole. Pared every par three...couldn't putt worth squat. Hit about 70% of the greens because i was driving it well, but couldn't take apart the course. Still surprised the pros didn't tear up the course, but as the 5 year contract continues, the pros will learn more and more on how to play the course, and the scores will get lower. At least in my opinion.
Charles Howell III on the leaderboard this weekend. Talk about a "Where have you been" guy. And Phil tied with Duval. Wonder what is more embarrasing, getting beat by Duval or Wie in a men's tournament.
Fact or Fiction:
Nancy Lopez needs to retire.
