Annika wins Mizuno 5x in a row
Well, she did it. Annika set another record. No other pro golfer -- male or female -- has won a tournament five times in a row. Today, Annika did it in Japan, shooting an 8-under 64 to win the Mizuno Classic. (more here)
This only further validates the views of many of our readers who wrote back in September that Annika Sorenstam had the more impressive year than Tiger. (see here)

Here are the unofficial numbers... they may not be exact but they should be close... for 2005, Tiger has 6 wins, 12 top 3s, 13 top 10s in 20 events. Annika has 9 wins, 11 top 3s, 14 top 10s in 19 events.
Since 2000, Tiger has 31 wins, 56 top 3s, 77 top 10s in 116 events. An average of 5.2 wins per year, 9.3 top 3s, 12.8 top 10s in 19.3 events.
Annika has 47 wins, 77 top 3s, 100 top 10s in 125 events. An average of 7.8 wins per year, 12.8 top 3s, 16.6 top 10s in 20.8 events.
On a per event percentage, Tiger wins 27% of the time, top 3 48%, top 10 66%. Annika wins 38%, top 3 62%, top 10 80%.
I hope we all realize how good we have it right now seeing two of the most dominate players of all time week after week.
Annika is a machine! I doubt anyone has dominated an individual sport as she has over that last 6 years.
