Would you deny Tiger a membership?
For his 30th birthday, Tiger bought a $40 million house in an exclusive Jupiter Island neighborhood. There's a golf course there, but apparently it's so exclusive that Tiger won't even be allowed in as a member. (More here.) "There's a long list and membership is by invitation only," said Debbie Squires, membership secretary at the club. You can't be serious?!

Not inviting Tiger to be a member of a golf club is like not inviting the Pope to be a member of your local catholic church.
There was a true story a few years ago about some high handicap guy, just starting to play golf who was getting ready to tee it up at some course in Palm Springs or someplace like that. Someone from the pro shop asks him if its ok to have newlyweds play with him, Tiger and Elin Woods. He said no and his reasoning was he would have been humiliated being so much worse that Tiger and maybe even Elin.
Personally I would have offered to caddie just to watch up close and personal. I may have even taken a look at Tigers swing a couple of times.
Have a serious look at the Standards of Appearance and you know what we are talking about here....
That Tigers occasional goatee would keep him from getting a job in the pro shop?!?
For the same reason that Augusta denies most presidents and celebrities membership, an exclusive club would not want anyone of celebrity status a member at their club. Brings attention to a place where most members want to be left alone.
Tiger Woods can come play at my local publinks anytime!
Seriously, I think that Elin should join the club. Tiger can come play as her guest!
