NBC gets Al Michaels; ABC gets Ryder Cup + Lucky Rabbit

This may be the wackiest sports trade of the century. ABC traded Monday Night Football (which was ending) commentator Al Michaels to NBC. In exchange, NBC gave ESPN (owned by Disney, which owns ABC) the rights to air the Friday coverage of the Ryder Cup through 2014 (as well as Olympic highlights).

Here's the capper: Disney also got back the rights to Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a precursor to Mickey Mouse. Yeah, rabbits and mice are apparently related in cartoon world. Oswald doesn't really earn any money, so is of not much value. But Disney brought its rabbit back into the fold. (More here)

NBC is Anti-American with their Ryder Cup coverage as well.Amazing tone and negativity already this morning on the broadcast of the 2nd day morning matches.Johnnny sets the negative tone and everyone else just tiptoes around him.Nice job with that NBC.Good luck with the future ratings stategies, obviously the liberals at the top need to be unseated or at least need to stop reading the communist manifesto for breakfast each morning.Johnny needs to go the way of Matthews and Olberman[which is out] if you care to present any semblance of reasonable, intelligent coverage. If you would like a model to follow for golf coverage watch the professional broadcasts of what the Brits present each time they show-up on the Golf Channel AMs Saturday and Sunday when Tiger's in play over their.European PGA coverage essentially.Their radio broadcasts of the British Open are fabulous as is XM146 in general.I listened all day yesterday in my car while traveling to appointments and then this morning on NBC it's as if I'm watching and listening to an entirely different event, very sad.We know you'll be voting for Obama and will be in need of prayers. So I'll put aside my hopes for a better world in this life and place my trust as always in the eternal future with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.God Bless you,we'll pray for you.
