Lorena Ochoa -10, Michelle Wie -6, Annika E
Is this the changing of the guard? Lorena Ochoa opened up a 4-stroke lead, shooting an amazing 10-under 62. (Lefty Mickelson shot a 9-under 63 at the BellSouth Classic.) 16-year-old Michelle Wie is in second place, after shooting an impressive 6-under 66. Annika apparently couldn't get untracked, finishing at even par. There's a lot of tournament left to play, though, so we'll see what Annika can do tomorrow. (Full leaderboard)

I am pretty sure that Annika is going to get it going, and that the leaderboard is going to do some shifting...congrats to Michelle Wie for putting a good score out there and getting off to a good start...I still say to watch out for Paula Creamer, she is at -3 after her first round....
Sorenstam was listed as even when I checked yesterday after she finished but is now listed at -1 before her round starts. Not sure why that is although I have noticed that type of thing often from the LPGA web site. Also it seemed that most of the lower scores were posted in the morning rounds and the higher scores in the afternoon rounds. I know Ochoa and Wie both played early and at one point about 20 of the 27 worst scores were by afternoon rounds.
Should be fun to follow the action for the next 3 rounds, just wish there was more TV coverage.
I am rooting for Lorena and Michelle. Each one for her own individual reasons needs a major under her name. Lorena to confirm her last 3 years on tour, Michelle to quiet many of the nay-sayers.

Boo hoo hoo! 76 with a triple...it's just not fair!! I was ripping it out there 210 but they made me play the same tees as Michelle. She gets all the breaks!
