Thank heavens for Ernie Els!

Well, Young Tom Morris (who complained here) will get his wish, not on the weather but on the competition with Tiger. Ernie Els matched Tiger's 65, to pull within only one stroke of Tiger. The tournament is not over yet. Game on, man. I can't wait for tomorrow morning's final pairing!

It's amazing how people root against this guy in the gize of "just want to see a good match." No you don't, you want to see him loose....just say it!

I honestly don't care whether Tiger wins or loses. I truly admire the way he plays the game (I think he's brilliant to avoid the driver and use his 2 iron to hit fairways this week). What I don't want to see is for him (or anyone else) to simply run away with the tournament. I want to see some good golf over the weekend and see a great finish. If Tiger wins, good for him. But I hope that whomever wins will do so after being challenged by the rest of the field...and some nasty weather would be an added bonus.

I have to agree with Young Tom Morris. I'm one of Tiger Woods' biggest fans. I followed him for two rounds at St. Andrews last year. Monty put up a little fight, but he never really got too close to Tiger.

That said, if Tiger were running away with the tournament (say by 5 strokes), I probably would go play golf instead of watching the Open on TV. Having Tiger and Ernie in the final group has already secured my place tomorrow morning in front of the TV.

SRY BOYS, Tiger is not going to run away with it. Think he shoots 1 or 2 under tomm. and anyone of the 3 behind him will be tied going into Sundays round. Then it will be fun to watch. GET READY. Cause hes not the Tiger of old. He's only a small step ahead of the rest theses days. Its only a guess, but i hope i'm right.

Joegolf is joewrong about this one...sure Ernie's there, but Tiger's gonna run off at least a 68 tomorrow and probably another on Sunday. He's in a the zone, guys and no matter how good everyone else plays, I seriously doubt they've got it in them to battle tiger in a bird-bath like this...

Tiger Woods gets to much credit Ernie was injuried for most of last year and couldn't even play. Now he is only one stroke back going into sunday. And you don't have to worry about Garcia winning he's go sweat like a whore in chucrh. GO ERNIE

Good call on Sergio.

Bad call on Ernie.

You keep betting on Garcia and Els; I'll keep taking your money, thanks very much.

oldbatter it looks like you called this one. I personally thought Tiger was going to run a way with it too. I felt he had the focus we haven't seen in him in a while.
