Tiger fastest to fifty wins
Tiger won the Buick Open by 3 shots over Jim Furyk. Tiger's round was marred only by a flying apple that came about ten feet from hitting Tiger's putt on the 17th hole. Tiger was so in the zone that he did not even react to the sight of a green apple rolling across the green. Besides, on Sunday, Tiger goes after red meat, not fruit.
Tiger's now reached his 50th victory the fastest of anyone ever on the PGA. What can't this guy do?

He can't wear a blue shirt on Sundays...
He can't be a member of the golf club nearest his new home.
I think there could be some real interesting discussions about Tiger in relation to some of the guys he passed recently on the major list. My golf history knowledge is a little shaky. I think one of the main issues that needs to be addressed is the quantity of majors as the sole measuring stick for greatness. Hagen, Nelson, Jones, Snead and Hogan had the opportunity to play in very few British Open's for example. In addition, WW2 wiped out 4 years of golf tournaments in Hogan, Snead and Nelson's prime. Also, Hogan was almost killed in a car crash in his prime and lost another 2 years, I think. It's fair to speculate that those 4 golfers would have been up around Nicklaus' major total if those factors were taken into account.
One thing that separates Woods from Hogan and Jones is that he dominated immediately when he started on the tour. Both Jones and Hogan spent 5 to 7 years kicking around golf before everything clicked for them and they began to dominate. Of course, Jones was a prodigy, so he may have been around Woods' age when he finally started winning.
he cant swim
