All great picks. There were some really wonderful moments. So many chip-ins and must-make putts!
How about one for Sergio for "Most Annoying and Immature"?
Loved the matches, kudos to the Euros for kicking butt. I love to watch great golf. However, given Sergio's penchant for choking on a regular basis in majors and lack of success on the US TOUR, I'm not sure where his false bravado comes from. Until he can man up in the big events outside of the Ryder Cup perhaps he should consider acting a little less like a jackass.
What do you mean by Garcia's lack of success on the PGA tour? He's won 6 times, including the Colonial, the Merceds and the Byron Nelson.
I think I read a couple of weeks ago that only three US players under the age of 30 have multiple wins, with Ben Curtis leading the way on 3!
Garcia is only 26 (I think) yet already has a very impressive resume: 6 wins on Tour plus 10 others around the world (including big titles like the Irish Open, the German Masters, the Lancome Trophy and the European Masters). I think we should all give him a bit of a break.
Worst Shot(s)...Chris Dimarco hitting 2 in the water on 18.
Sergio excels in team play--he can't putt under pressure but he's the best shotmaker in the world. He killed in alternate shot because he'd consistently put it close and his teammate would make putts that he wouldn't make.
Sergio clearly loves the team format, perhaps he needs a caddie who can get him in that mindset during normal tournaments. During the Ryder Cup he was all smiles, but we never see that from him during normal tournaments...maybe if he played with that joy he'd win more often.
