Tiger Woods in serious trouble at match play
Warming up for the Ryder Cup at the HSBC World Match Play Championship, Tiger Woods is currently being blitzed by Shaun Micheel, who's 3 up after 28 holes. Even if Tiger loses, the PGA has already announced that it would not count in his current 5 tournament win streak. Meanwhile, Jim Furyk appears about to be closed out by European Ryder Cup member Robert Karlsson, who is 4-up after 31 holes.
I'm glad this is only a tune-up for the Ryder Cup for Woods and Furyk. Things don't look pretty right now.

These defeats could be 'a blessing in disguise'. The World Matchplay involves up to 36 holes per day for 4 days: that's a lot of golf, and a lot of concentration. If the likes of Casey, Monty, Karlsson are still playing at the weekend, I wouldn't be surprised if Furyk and Woods are fresher come Ryder Cup week. Here, it's worth noting Woods' comment to the BBC about the Ryder Cup: he was told by the likes of Stewart and O'Meara not to bank on getting a lot of sleep during RC week as it's pretty exhausting schedule with the practices, functions etc.
If I were Tom Lehman, I wouldn't be too unhappy that Woods and Furyk were resting up over the weekend after a pretty hectic schedule in August/Sept.
Lets just hope that after 36 holes a day for 4 days that they are all re gripping their clubs, we all hate to lose a grip on things. Interesting. I'm a low handicap golfer and have used the same el cheapo double sided tape for years to regrip my clubs. Are you saying that if I switch to Gorilla Tape my handicap will drop to scratch? Awesome!!

I came to read about Golf, what do I get... a commercial about golf grip tape from Brian and then dummies like Jimmy jacking and Big Willie responding to it. I agree with Big Willie's wife and Mr. Anonymous go Brian go! Hope you sell a million rolls.
