Battle of the sexes: Donald Trump + Tom Watson beat Annika Sorenstam + Natalie Gulbis

The Manhattan Golf Classic on Governor's Island took place this weekend, pitting 6 handicapper Donald Trump and Tom Watson against Annika Sorenstam and Natalie Gulbis. Although the women were up at one point 6-2 skins, the men eventually pulled out the victory, 10-8, after Tom Watson eagled 15 and birdied 18. (More from TGC)

OK, Tom Watson is still a stud, and Donald Trump got strokes, but I can't believe Annika and Natalie lost. They should've gone for the jugular when they had the chance.

Who cares? Watson is the better player, that's why they won.

I agree: who cares. But The Donald and Tom Watson? The over-the-hill gang (one with a handicap) beating two of the best women golfers in the world? Again, who cares. But somewhere in here is a telling event.
