Golf trick shots: Tiger Woods or Michelle Wie, who's better?
By now, you've already seen the incredible Tiger Woods performing an amazing display of accuracy with a driver on the Ellen show (video here).
Here's a video of Michelle Wie in Korea performing her own accuracy display. Not bad. But it's hard to top Tiger.

No contest... Tiger's shot was literally 100 times harder in my opinion.

It's funny, some people get angry anytime they see Michelle on the same page as Tiger but as far as star power, she's right up there. That she's not as good a player at this point, I don't think anyone doubts, but they're pretty equal as celebrities and thus both great for golf.

I am not going to say anything about "she's not as good a player at this point" beyond saying that maybe the stupidest thing ever typed into a computer.
My 7 year old could pick Tiger out of a picture of 20 people, both black and white, when he was 2 years old. I would bet my house he has never heard of Michelle Wie. I would be willing to bet that 99.9% of the general public knows who Tiger is, what he does and knows what he looks like. I would be willing to bet that for the non golf fan public, the majority may have heard of Wie, might know what she does but would not know her if they saw her.
They are not equal celebrities and they never will be.
OK, I'll leave the celebrity debate to other people.
As for the accuracy skills tests, my jaw still has not closed yet after watching it live. Using a driver to do what he did was phenomenal.
Michelle Wie's 2 shots were pretty impressive, but I did't like the slow motion. It ruins the impressiveness of the shot, especially when Wie hit the small target marked 5.

Why can't you guys judge the two videos on its own merits? Say "Tiger's shot was way better than Michelle".

It's just a video! It doesn't say that Michelle is the female equivalent of Tiger.

Pretty amazing the reaction that Michelle Wie generates, isn't it? I don't suppose there are many (any) other players, male or female, who can stir up that kind of viceral response.
The reaction (read: backlash) comes from the amount of undue hype she's generated for having won squat. She's the Paris Hilton of golf.
i'm just happy that bj was not in the video. maybe he was having his legs waxed.
