Tiger loses to Yong-Eun Yang
It was bound to happen: Tiger lost a tournament. Four-time winner on the Japan tour, Yong-Eun Yang pulled out a 2-stroke victory (at -14) over Tiger Woods, who finished strong with 3 birdies in the last five holes. This was Yang's first European Tour victory, albeit in a tournament in China (go figure).
On the final holes, Yang apparently had an out-of-body experience: "I wasn't nervous at all, but the last three holes I couldn't get it on the green, then I got nervous. I feel like I'm up in the air. I can't grasp it in words."
Leaderboard.

Just to set the record straight. Tiger's consecutive win streak officially ended at the World Match Play in Wentworth. He lost at the Ryder Cup as well with Jim Furyk His streak of consecutive PGA events is still intact since this event was not a PGA event, but a European PGA event. This event could not break that streak since it couldn't extend it, just like winning at Dubai earlier in the year is not considered a 2006 PGA win for Tiger.
The only streak this broke was the first time he lost in a stroke play event., which is not really a streak because it's across multiple sanctioning bodies that don't accept each other statistics.
Dumb comment, caly. The Ryder Cup? C'mon. Match Play maybe, but it's still not a stroke play tournament. You're reaching badly.
I'm reaching, and I'm dumb. That's classic.
Here's the streak:
The Real Tiger Streak
You cant just make up streaks. If it's professional events entered then it ended at the World Golf Match Play.
Professional Stroke Play events is not a streak. How about "Professional Stroke Play events not in China",? That's still alive!
How about "Stroke Play in the Northern Hemisphere"? Sounds much better don't you think?
Reaching indeed!
Caly you seem to be have quite a defensive personality. That last comment said that the comment was dumb, not you. I've seen you react that way quite a few times on this blog. There are medications for people like you.
congratualation Yong-Eun Yang,
hi there, your blog nice and a lot of information.
Caly, just face it.. you're not always right.
I've recently read that Caly improved his girth AND length. Impressive!!
CAYGOLFING actually gets very defensive in a lot of his postings. Also very negative about a lot of things. I can see him having a violent side. I can't imagine Caly having friends that actually like him (or just friends for that matter). o_O
