Taylor Made naysays square drivers
Coincidentally, USA Today just ran a story The Golf Blog covered today: square drivers. The article is chalk full of negative comments by TaylorMade about the square design. Of course, TaylorMade doesn't make a square driver; its competitors Callaway and Nike do. According to the article:
"Square drivers didn't go on sale to the public until last weekend, but Mark King, the CEO of TaylorMade Adidas Golf, was predicting the demise of the design well before Nike's Sumo Saturday. 'The square-headed driver phenomenon will be over in about 90 days,' King told Golfweek magazine."

Usually predicting that the end is near for a new piece of innovation is what ensures its success. Taylor Made is only adding to the frenzy.

Taylor Made hopes the square drivers don't do well, but I tried Callaway's and it's not a gimmick.
