i must say that many of the nitwits that frequent this bolg have to be eating crow right now.

after the master's you guys couldn't dish the dirt fast enough zack's way. you bitched, you moaned, cried, complained that zack was just lucky - another ben curtis, etc., etc.

but if you had studied the stats carefully you would have seen that zack was no flash in the pan. he had strong and growing numbers and excellent earnings the past two years - a comer, my fine feathered friends - now he went out and did it again - and with balls - those shots from the fairway on 18, twice!!! - he put the tourney away like a man!

and don't you go saying that he won v. a weak field - if you are thinking that way - think back to augusta my friends, think back to augusta.

take it like men and start digging into the numbers before you start pontificating on things you know not of - ya bunch of dunderheaded nincompoops!

All I was going to say was so much for the "Zach Johnson is a one-hit wonder" talk, but someone beat me to it...and added a big helping of red hot chili pepper.

Anyone who compared Zack Johnson to Ben Curtis, Paul Lawrie, etc. is a clueless dolt. While he might not bust it out there 310 and can be a bit tedious to watch in long stretches, one look at his record on the Nationwide Tour will tell you all you want to know about his ability to git er done.

It was also great to see Padraig win the Irish Open, first Irishman for 25 years - hopefulyl he can go on to win the US Open this year....he likes it tough!
