Has Michelle Wie lost the "wow" factor?
When Michelle Wie was 13 years old, her talent and potential seemed unlimited, downright phenomenal (see here). Well, today, Michelle’s 17 1/2 years old and coming into the age when results matter more than raw potential. Even if she wins now, it won’t generate the “wow” factor as it would have two years ago. Now, it’s expected, and people will only start wondering why she hasn’t won yet (nevermind almost getting banned from the LPGA last week).
Paula Creamer won her first LPGA tourney at 18 years 9 months and 17 days, having just finished senior year in high school. Michelle Wie is graduating this year. Time to start producing results. Results matter.
