Tiger Woods to take 2 1/2 months off from golf

Tiger Woods announced that he'll be skipping the PGA Grand Slam (4 major winners), this year in Bermuda, so he can spend more time with Elin and their baby. Jim Furyk will replace Tiger. (More)

You go Tiger! He does have a life outside of golf, he has just spoiled us to wanting to see him every week on the television.

He deserves it, and I hope he’s left alone by the press. Although it’s such a different paradigm taking a vacation from playing golf, rather than taking a vacation to play golf.

Good move, family should come first (well, besides some golf...), but definitely before money.
It's not only good for him, it also gives others a chance to get some lime light.

That's really impressive. I know that Tiger has a really intense work ethic, so this is a big decision for him, I would think. But you never get that time with your kids back...it only makes me think more highly of an already classy athlete.
