Seriously, this should be her last tournament until she consistently breaks 70 in her practice rounds. The Wie camp's heads are made of indestructible steel or titanium or something.

Wee little Wie has never won a 72-hole tournament. Ever. The comparisons of her to Kournikova are fairly accurate just now.

And is there a more poorly spoken pro golfer in front of the camera? You might say it is her age, but compare her to Rory McElroy for some contrast. Both are roughly the same age, but McElroy sounds like something more than a 13 year old when he speaks.

Now back to the topic at hand.

I saw the Golf Channel the news about Wie's agent Nared mentioned in the comments earlier, and in the same segment they mentioned that Wie's parents follow her everywhere on Stanford's campus 24/7. Her parents have a mental illness. I'm at a loss to describe how controlling and weird that is. There aren't any words that come close painting that picture. That girl is going to explode one day and the entire situation going to make the Sean O'Hair and Briny Baird family stories look idealistic.

I really don't know how she's made it this far without losing her mind--and the cracks are already starting to show.

If she ever gets married the parents will be out of the picture or the guy will have a well designed battle plan for the marriage and prenups, titanium onions, nerves of steel, and be a gold digger to the nth degree.
