“Hey, it’s Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Can you please take your name off your phone? My wife went through my phone and may be calling you. So if you can, please take your name off that. Just have it as a number on the voicemail. You got to do this for me. Huge. Quickly. Bye.”

The tipping point for Tiger Woods: OK, this sure sounds like Tiger Woods. And the message sounds like he’s in a complete panic to hide the name of Jaimee Grubb from wife Elin, who discovered his phone (and must have seen all the calls or texts he was sending). Just a day after the FHP closed the investigation of the car accident (and finding no domestic violence angle), the car accident may seem to be in a different light today.

We said this at the start and we’ll say it again: we hope the affair rumor is untrue for Tiger Woods (at least for the sake of his family). But other famous men from Bill Clinton, John Edwards, Eliot Spitzer, Mark Sanford to Kobe Bryant, Charles Barkley and Michael Jordan have not set good examples. Facts are hard to hide. Even for Tiger Woods.
