The Golf Blog says: There’s still a lot of golf to be played, but up-and-coming Rickie Fowler has a sizable 3 shot lead. So it’s interesting to wonder if the 21 year old Fowler wins, what should he do about his temporary caddie Donnie Darr?

Darr, who was an assistant coach at Oklahoma State, offered Fowler to caddy for him this week at the Memorial because of his local knowledge and the fact that Darr’s now the Ohio State golf coach down the road from Muirfield. Darr offered his services for free, on the condition he can wear an Ohio State cap. Fowler agreed. Now he’s poised to win his first PGA tourney.

Hmm…so what if Fowler wins? Joe Skovron is Fowler’s regular caddy and Fowler can just stick with him. But, obviously, something is working with Darr. So it at least raises the question. Darr recruited Fowler at Oklahoma State, so the two obviously have good chemistry. What if? We’ll see on Sunday. (More here)
