The Golf Blog says: Like he did when The Golf Channel’s Kelly Tilghman said inappropriate remarks about him during a poor attempt at a joke, Tiger Woods let former caddie Stevie Williams off the hook. Tiger said Stevie, who caddied for him for 12 years and was the best man at his wedding, is not a racist. He said Stevie and he talked face-to-face, and that Tiger accepted Stevie’s apology for his racial remark about Tiger at a caddie’s dinner.
“It was a wrong thing to say, something that we both acknowledge. He did apologize. It was hurtful, certainly, but life goes forward,” Tiger said.Tweet
