The Golf Blog: When should Rory McIlroy abandon Nike clubs to prepare for Masters?
The Golf Blog says: Nike Golf just launched a commercial of the new VR S Covert driver used by Rory McIlroy. It looks like, though, Rory is still going through both swing issues and issues adjusting to his new clubs. Last week’s tied for 8th place finish at Doral was encouraging (especially the final round 65), but with the Masters only a few weeks away, Rory is nowhere near ready for the Masters. If he has any doubt if he’s fully adjusted to his new Nike clubs, he would be best served by temporarily putting them in the locker until after the Masters.
