The Golf Blog: Jack Nicklaus set to overtake Tiger Woods in majors pace
The Golf Blog says: After Tiger Woods announced he’s out of this year’s Masters due to back surgery, for which he may be out of tournament competition for at least 3 months, it’s looking more and more that Jack Nicklaus will assume the lead in pace of winning majors. Jack won his 15th major at age 38 years old at the British Open. When Jack Nicklaus reassumes the lead in majors pace, it will be the first time in nearly 15 years Jack will be ahead of Tiger Woods in the pace of winning majors. That doesn’t bode well for Tiger, who wants not just to match Jack’s 18 majors, but to beat it.
