As the morning rounds finish up, the PGA Championship leaderboard is looking very strong. Three of the Big 5 are now in the top 10, with Phil Mickelson having an amazing up-and-down round of 65 to take command of the tournament. (As detailed here, Phil had 1 eagle, 7 birdies, 2 bogeys and 1 double.)

Solid play by lots of players now means that Tiger tees off knowing he has to shoot at least even par 70 to have a chance to make the cut, and he probably needs at least a two-under 68 to be certain to play the weekend. And Tiger will need to match Phil’s 65 to really get back into the thick of the tourney.
