The Golf Blog: Keegan Bradley shoots 64 to win Bridgestone as Jim Furyk blows 5-footer on 18th hole
The Golf Blog says: Keegan Bradley, with the belly putter, sunk a clutch par putt from 15 feet away on the final hole to shoot a 64. That left Jim Furyk, who made a complete mess of 18 after a bad drive, needing to sink a 5-footer for bogey to force a playoff. Furyk, however, blew his putt way past the hole, giving Bradley an early birthday gift. The putt never had a chance.
Twice this season Furyk has failed to close a tournament. The last one hurt even more–the U.S. Open, losing to Webb Simpson, another player who uses the belly putter. It may be time for Furyk to switch to the belly putter himself.
