The Golf Blog says: Phil Mickelson was on his way to set the all-time 36 hole record on the PGA Tour with a 123 total (60, 63). But playing conservative on the last hole, Phil sliced his 3 wood into the water and then chunked his approach shot en route to a double bogey. One bad swing and there goes the record.

Phil is at -17, with Bill Haas at -13 and Brandt Snedeker at -12.
