You know, I'm a HUGE Tiger fan (I have 2 email addresses and a rather large collection of Tiger memorabilia that will attest to that). BUT...if he dislikes the captaincy pick, if he dislikes the format and the way the money is dispersed, if his record is the sh#ts...then don't go.
However, if he wants to be a positive influence, if he wants to bring the team together; then let Marko speak his own mind about the captaincy, stand behind the team concept and keep it zipped until the day the captaincy is his decision.
Tom Lehman came as a surprise pick. He's a good choice, but I hope there really wasn't any retaliation against Mark O'Meara for his comments that led to the PGA having to donate part of its profits from the Ryder Cup to charity.
