Michelle Wie to play John Deere -- David Leadbetter overruled?
Not too long ago, David Leadbetter said Michelle Wie won't play any more PGA events and would concentrate on the LPGA. Well, apparently, Leadbetter got overruled. Michelle's agreed to play the John Deere this year, the same tourney that she got heat exhaustion and had to be taken to the hospital last year.

The hype for this girl and crass commercialism are going to turn off fans to Tour golf. I've been a fan for many many years but now watch very little TV golf and just don't care anymore. I guess it's let the new 'fans' who like this crap take over from us old duffers. Actually, it's sort of a relief not to have that addiction anymore.
I feel sorry for Wie, but by playing men's events she is insulting the Ladies game and destroying her own credibility.

Who cares what she does,her act really has become yesterdays news.At this point she cant compete on any tour the sweet kid has become a joke. Someone should grab her father and wake him up and insist he let go of his grip on her
