He doesn't need a swing coach. He needs a sports psychologist.
It's easy to be critical of John Daly, but it's never too late to change or improve in the most radical ways.
I'd been playing golf for 30 years, as well as being a peak performance coach, mentor and published author. And it was only a few weeks ago that I discovered the swing technique to access power, accuracy and control and the full on remarkable experience of playing golf in the zone.
There’s a saying, “when the student is ready, the teacher appears.” It took me 30 years, but I’m no less excited by what I’ve just discovered.
Maybe John Daly could check out the same teacher that I discovered at www.golfswingmasterysecrets.com

Actually Butch is a great teacher he will help John, and he will be easy all he has to do is get his swing what he thinks is shorter but in realty will be more powerfull, and even better for Daly more consistent. I have taught over 50 tour players myself including Jim Colbert, Rocco Mediate, Jim Dent, Leonard Thompson and Jim Dent to name a couple and Butch keeps the swing simple,as I do because it is, most people think the golf swing is complicated, lets face it people your squaring a stick to a ball if you think its hard, it will be!! See my information and blog at www.stevewozeniak.com for more information if you would like, the pga needs Daly back in form good luck Butch and John, Steve Wozeniak PGA Director of Instuction Bellevue/Lake Spanaway Golf Courses
I don't know. I think John has abused his body so badly and he is now 41. That shoulder problem appears to be pretty debilitating.
I think maybe the question is will he adhere to Butch's rigid requirements. John mentioned that he might just need some "tips" from Butch. But if he really is serious, he may need to make some difficult changes in his life style.
I really like John and would love to see him back in contention with his life is control. It's going to be tough this year having lost his card. I hope he will get some invitations or be able somehow to get a chance to play in the majors. But it doesn't look very promising.
