The Golf Blog: Michelle Wie turns 21 today, is the best yet to come?
The Golf Blog says: Nearly 7 years ago, the very first post on The Golf Blog was a post about Michelle Wie. Back then, Michelle was 14 years old and the youngest player to ever play a PGA event. She almost made the Sony Open cut. We were so euphoric back then, we predicted: “If Michelle continues on her current trajectory, she will have a greater impact on golf than Tiger.”
OK, so we were wrong. The trajectory didn’t continue as we or Michelle had hoped.
But being only 21, a lot of golf is left in Michelle’s future. Remember Tiger Woods didn’t win his 1st major until 21. The Golf Blog wishes Michelle an amazing 21st birthday! Happy Birthday, Michelle!!
