The Golf Blog: Kevin Streelman wins 1st PGA Tour event in Tampa, bests Boo Weekley’s 63 and Justin Leonard
The Golf Blog says: Kevin Streelman shot a final round 67 to win the Tampa Bay Championship by 2 shots over Boo Weekley. Weekley played early and shot a lights-out 63, and then had to wait for the leaders to finish for more than 2 hours. Streelman played steady down the stretch, leaving Weekley in second. The same couldn’t be said for Justin Leonard, who shared the lead until he faltered with some pull hooks in the late holes. Streelman said he could remember the days not too long ago when he had no money and was just scraping to get by. Congrats, Kevin!
