Take a mulligan: PGA should delay start of 2007 season and stop the silliness
Lo and behold, the PGA season for 2007 starts next week in Hawaii. Are you kidding me? I love Hawaii, but didn't the PGA season for 2006 just end in December?
Can you blame Tiger Woods, who just announced today that he's skipping next week's Mercedes Championship in Hawaii? The same goes for AWOL Phil Mickelson, who has bigger issues to deal with following his US Open debacle. Although Jason Sobel of ESPN thinks Tiger and Phil should be expected to play, I'm actually glad they are not playing next week. Maybe it will force the PGA to rethink its never-ending schedule and allow the players a true offseason.

Or why not invite Michelle Wie to finish last in yet another PGA Tour event? On the bright side, she can't miss another cut because there is no cut. She'd take home last place money and garner more TV time than the real players.
I have no problem with the Tour starting this early (it has ALWAYS done that). If you disagree, don't watch.
Wow! What a freaking loser to drag Michelle Wie into this issue.
Somebody is jealous of a teenage golfer! Or you're just missing Michelle?
You need to get a life. Stop obsessing with her.
Hey genius, are you vaguely familiar with the concept of sarcasm?
Pure entertainment you two.
No one has a chance in the mercedes and that's why Phil and Tiger don't play. It's Appleby's tournament. He owns it...
