Annika needed 21 holes to defeat Tina Barrett at the World Match Play Championship. Cristie Kerr, No. 2 seed, lost to Liselotte Neumann, 4-3. This leaves Annika, No. 1 seed, with No. 8 seed Candie Kung as the next highest seed left. Marisa Baena, No. 60, who defeated Natalie Gulbis in the first round is the lowest seed left.
Frankly, the one match I’d like to see is Annika v. Karrie Webb (who beat Paula Creamer, 2-1), possibly in the semifinals if both win their next two matches. 3rd round pairings here. Full brackets here.
