TGB Featured Tourney: The International
The Pro-Am event at The International is today. Apparently, it’s a foursome of amateurs plus 1 pro golfer. Yes, I know that equals 5, but who’s counting? Here are the pairings, and a PDF version is here. Not sure how you get to play, but these amateurs are pretty lucky to play with the like of Phil Mickelson, Retief Goosen, Fred Couples, and Sergio Garcia. Shout out to Phil Mickelson whose Foundation donated $200,000 for needy children to buy school supplies at Walmart (which chipped in $25,000) — Phil and wife Amy helped to pass out the supplies to kids on Saturday. Phil then got on a plane to NJ for practice rounds at Baltustrol, site of the PGA next week. A guy named Tiger Woods joined Phil for the last two holes. Pretty cool. Phil then hopped on a plane and is today playing in The International. Complete story here.
