Fan "injures" John Daly
A resident with a house on the PGA National complex was so excited to see John Daly on the 12th tee that she took out her camera and snapped a photo. Daly heard the camera snapping and stopped his swing in mid-swing. In the process, Daly hurt his rib. He tried to tee off but the pain was too much, so he walked off the course to the medical trailer, telling his playing partners: “I’m done.” Daly had only played 2 holes.
It’s not clear what penalty will be imposed on the unidentified woman. She probably won’t lose her house in PGA National, but maybe she should perform community service by having to pick up trash at the tournament.
