A. Rory Sabbatini says in 2007 Tiger is “more beatable than ever” and he “wants Tiger”; but Tiger beats Rory by 9 strokes on Sunday at Bridgestone.
B. Stephen Ames says in 2006 about his chances of beating Tiger at the World Match Play, “Anything can happen … especially where he’s hitting the ball.” Tiger proceeds to win the first 9 holes against Ames; match ends on the 10th hole, earliest possible.
C. Vijay Singh’s caddie wears cap with logo, “Tiger who?” on back at President’s Cup. Tiger beats Singh, 2-1.
D. Colin Montgomerie after second round of 1997 Masters says he’s the one who has the experience and game to cope with playing in the final pairing of the Masters with the rookie Tiger Woods–who Colin suggested might not. Woods beat Colin by 9 strokes on Saturday (who then shot 81 on Sunday).
