Woody Austin + Ernie Els battle, but Tiger Woods too good
First, let me hand it to Woody Austin and Ernie Els for playing some very impressive golf down the stretch. Woody shot 67, Ernie 66, to finish -6 and -5, respectively. Both of these guys made sure that Tiger Woods would not walk away with the tournament.
But Tiger Woods is Tiger Woods, the best golfer ever. He’s unbeatable after leading after 54 holes in a major. Unbeatable. Unbelievable. 4th PGA Championship and 13th Major at age 31, now 4 years ahead of Jack Nicklaus’s pace.
