The Golf Blog: Tiger Woods says greens in afternoon are “awful” — poana but fast
The Golf Blog says: Wow. Tiger Woods complained about the greens at Pebble Beach, calling them “awful” in the afternoon when the poana grass grows. He complained that he played the practice rounds early in the morning when the greens were better.
Message to Tiger: If you know the poana will grow in the afternoon and you will have to play at least 1 round in the afternoon (and possibly 3 total if you are in contention), why don’t you play a practice round in the afternoon, too???
