The Golf Blog says: Earlier this year, Jack Nicklaus said that this would be a pivotal year for Tiger Woods. He would be playing 3 of his favorite courses (Augusta, Pebble Beach, St. Andrews) for the majors, courses where he dominated in the past. Well, Augusta and Pebble Beach came and went. No majors for Tiger this year. In July, it’s on to St. Andrews.

In Jack Nicklaus’s view, if Tiger Woods does not win at St. Andrews, it will become increasingly difficult for him to catch Jack’s 18-major record. Not sure it’s a “must win,” but surely Tiger will be shaking his head at opportunities lost.
