The Golf Blog: Nick Watney leads PGA by 3 shots–Rory McIlroy + Dustin Johnson in pursuit
The Golf Blog says: We picked Nick Watney as our darkhorse to win the U.S. Open. Why? He had the best greens in regulation percentage on tour. Well, Watney didn’t win the Open, but at -13 he is leading the PGA by 3 shots going into the final round. Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson are in hot pursuit (-10). Wenchong Liang (who set the course record at 64 yesterday), Martin Kaymer, and Jason Dufner are tied for 4th, at -9.
Tiger Woods is at -3, and Phil Mickelson is at -1. Hmm…doesn’t look like Phi will be No. 1 yet.
