The Golf Blog says: Uh-oh. Tiger Woods had an up-and-mostly-down week at Torrey Pines, a course at which Tiger has won 5 times in the past. Tiger finished at -1 for the tourney, more than 10 shots behind the lead.
Tiger’s swing changes under Sean Foley appear to be still a work-in-progress–which does not bode that well for Tiger’s chances at the Masters. Although April is a long way off, Tiger only began the swing changes late last year. The last time Tiger went through swing changes it took longer than just a few months.
One question that we’ll be discussing soon: can Tiger undergo 3 major swing changes (with different teachers) and produce the kind of dominant results as before? If anybody can do it, Tiger can. But it is asking a lot to adopt 3 different swing philosophies instead of building on 1 technique.
