The Golf Blog says: After 3 birdies in the first 5 holes, Phil Mickelson hit his drive into the water on the 6th hole at the Shell Houston Open. He then hit his approach shot over the green, leaving himself a very difficult chip (see video below). The 6th hole had double bogey written all over it–which would have derailed Mickelson’s round.

As you might have guessed, Phil did what Phil does best. He chipped in a miraculous shot into the bank for par. From there, Phil went on to tie the course record of 63 and is tied for the lead after the third round with Scott Verplank.

Lefty is looking good as we get ready for the Masters next week!
