The Golf Blog says: After imploding at this year’s Masters with a final round 80, Rory McIlroy is positioning himself to run away with the U.S. Open, setting a 36-hole U.S. Open record at 11-under par.
The closest competitor–with play suspended due to rain–is Y.E. Yang at 5-under, some 6 shots off the lead. It’s difficult to win a major, let alone to win wire-to-wire, but if Rory can pull it off, with such a wide margin, it will be a Tiger-like performance.
So, dear readers, is the tournament over, or is there a lot of golf still left to play?
