The Golf Blog: Why Rory McIlroy will win British Open
The Golf Blog says: OK, dear Golf Fans, the Open Championship begins tomorrow at Royal St. George’s. Our pick is the 22-year-old Rory McIlroy, who just won the U.S. Open. Rory has been in the mix in just about every major in the past year or so, and, after his first major, we think he will have the confidence necessary to follow up with a consecutive major.
If Rory wins this week, he will be officially ahead of both Jack Nicklaus’s and Tiger Woods’s pace in majors. Both Jack and Tiger had only 1 major at age 22–click here for the chart.
