The Golf Blog says: As Tim Tebow made the cover of Sports Illustrated this week, we wonder what the reason for Tebow’s popularity. He’s led some dramatic come-from-behind victories, and that surely has to do something with it. But it’s something more than that. Tebow has the “It” factor, or charisma, something that transcends sports. It reminded us of Tiger Woods when he first exploded–Hello, world!–onto the scene in 1997. Tiger drew in fans outside of golf, just as Tebow now is doing with non-football fans. And, although Tebow’s religious displays turn off some, to others, it’s a welcome change from the intemperate ways of other athletes.
